Le Morne in Mauritius has to be one of the best spots for Wingfoiling on the planet; it caters for all abilities with a mix of flat water, small easy waves, and huge fast waves with everything in between.
The wind can be pretty fickle and often will totally drop with a rain squall, potentially leaving you stuck so pays to be quite careful here.
When there is no wind there are is almost always some kind of wave for Sup/Surf or tow-in foiling.
The windy season is in the Mauritian/southern-hemisphere winter. At this time the trade winds are relatively consistent.
There are three waves, little reef, which is small and the easiest.
Then there is Manawa this wave is one of the best wave for wingfoiling in the world. It is a quite large and fat left, not particularly fast and great for learners and advanced riders alike.
Then there is also One Eye, this wave I’m not for the faint hearted and as it breaks quickly onto the reef it is usually ridden only by kite surfers. Only for expert wingfoilers.
